Calaveras County Vintners is a site maintained by the Calaveras Winemakers Cooperative, a group of winemakers, winery owners, and vineyard owners in the county. Our goal is to promote Calaveras County wines, vineyards, and wineries, and to improve the quality of wine of our members and of other interested winemakers.
The Calaveras Vintners, the wines of Calaveras, and the wineries that produce them. Other counties in California have been known for making wine, and for their wine specialties. Discover the newest region of California to produce fine wines, mostly from grapes grown right here in the county. The wines, vineyards, and winemakers living here are giving the wineries in those other two valleys a run for their money. Here is a sample of the great wineries available for your tasting and visiting pleasure:
Irish Vineyards of Vallecito is right along Highway 4, and offers a rustic barn tasting room, but one with plenty of space for it's many varietals.
